TRCA Neighborhood News: Report of April 16 General Meeting

Friends & Neighbors--

Your Officers and Executive Committee members thank all of you who attended the combined Executive Committee and General Members Meetings on April 16, 2008.  We appreciate your patiently listening to the various presentations and voting on the two petitions to amend TRCA's Constitution, the major impact of which essentially would have been to re-run the election just conducted last month.  

While the petition was voted down by an overwhelming margin, the TRCA leadership has instituted a new Constitutional Committee to undertake a comprehensive review of our charter.  The Executive Committee believes that this approach gives us the best opportunity to determine the structure, procedures and authorities the TRCA needs to function efficiently and maximize our ability to achieve community goals.
 
Please also remember that, as one of this year's Earth Day events, TRCA and Clover/College Park Civic Association will host an annual Angel Park and Taylor Run Creek clean-up day on Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 9:00 am through noon.  Please join our efforts to clean and beautify this important natural landmark in our neighborhood.
