Hello All,

If you have spare time in Aug and an interest in
History you might walk to the Masonic Memorial to
Explore Alexandria's Past with Interpretive Tour with
City Archaeologists

WHAT: Interpretive tour of the Shuter's Hill
excavation site with city archaeologists.

Tour the current excavation focusing on the remains of
a mid-19th-century estate and vestiges of a
late-18th-century plantation. Observe archaeology in
action! The site is in full sun, please dress
accordingly and bring drinking water.

WHO: This tour is open to the general public.

WHEN: Saturday, August 12 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Behind the George Washington Masonic National
Memorial, 101 Callahan Drive. Park in the parking lot
behind the Memorial and continue up the hill on foot.
The excavation site is located next to the tree on top
of the hill.

COST: FREE! Reservations required.
