Low Frquency Radio

Can you direct mer to a good source of general coverage receivers for use on Low Frequency Bands ?

Also do you know of a good book on this...to help me decide exactly the most interesting frequency range to get into re xmtrs, antenna, etc.  As a young kid I used to work nearly around the world on 80 meters... and often wondered about 160 meters and below
