The UPS guy just delivered my new Icom DSTAR radio, and I was wanting to
play with it. So the question is, are there any DSTAR frequencies or
frequency pairs in Eastern Iowa? I tried a web search to find standard
simplex calling frequencies, but nothing found for Iowa. It seems to be
more prevalent down south, TX, Alabama & so forth. I am totally new to
DSTAR, still trying to figure it out.

Anybody have any ideas or suggestions? At this point, I can do simplex,
but since there is no defined channel for that, it is kind of a guess.

I ordered the ID-880H, (144/440 moblie rig) it shares the same packet
jacks as my IC706, and the programming cable is the same as Icom
handhelds, so if nothing else, it will be put into service as a APRS rig
for me.
