1995 marked the first time that "the farm" was used for field day operations. Utilizing the normal advanced planning that makes all our operations a resounding success, we started planning this year's operations about 7 days before the contest started. True to form, we were on the air within hours of the actual start of the contest.
Our station operated in the QRP battery class. This decision was based on our choice of bands ( 2, 6, 10, 15, and 160 ), and the fact that we weren't sure that we could get a generator. Also, we hoped that we could be more competitive in this class of operations.
