So this answers the question of WHY DO IT LOOK LIKE THAT.  The Vienna Va
beacon has really come up in strength over the last couple of weeks. It
now is as strong at the Fort Royal one.                     Improvements

Bob,
    I was up until 1 AM last night.  The beacons became very strong & I
was
able to hear the beacon that we're seeing the "strange" modulation on. 
It's only CW.  When the waveform gets about 4 Hz wide it because there
are
a lot of very fast "dits" at that point..... when the waveform is
narrower,
 there is simply a CW message going on then.  The fast dits naturally
increase the bandwidth.... we're just not used to looking at stuff this
narrow.
