Don't have much data on soundcard performance in the receive mode but can
testify
that in output mode, the units that I have are much better than the xmitters
that they must
xmit thru.  Almost no IMD from sound card in PSK31 mode (BPSK --IMD<-50db
below)
peak disired tones if only the minimum of headroom allowed in the sound card
output.
This is at least 20 db better than best I've seen on output of rigs...
Measurements made
with HP-8666A spectrum analyzer.  Not too sure how this portends for rx
performance
but I suspect that it is much better than audio output of receivers.  Will
think about how to measure -- gess could pass one sound card output thru
other rx-tx and compare vs
tx only.  Suggestions?
