Sandy,

Good comments.
Yes, we are getting wimpy.  I am not so sure it was much better at the 
beach but then maybe it will matter.  If we could concentrate everything 
into the van and just put up antennas it might be easier to go to the 
beach without problems.  Setting up the tent etc. gains some room but we 
should have a more limited set of things to try this time.

On adding more wires to Hal's antenna... The capacitiance will go up a 
lot and the antenna tuner will have to be retuned by taking a bunch of 
turns off.
