[CRAPRS] Eastern Iowa DSTAR Frequencies?

I know this is a reply to a message posted last May but I just joined
the list. I don't know of any D-Star repeaters in eastern Iowa but I
recently installed a Motorola Mototrbo digital repeater near Mt.
Pleasant (about 60 miles south of CR). Mobile and portable GPS is built
into some models of mobiles and portables.

It is connected via the Internet for VOIP operation to a couple
repeaters in California and one in Washington state. It is on 444.350
and has HT range of about 40 miles.

Two of the hams in California owned D-Star repeaters before buying the
Motorola. They sold them because of too many problems keeping them
working and connected to the D-Star network.

The Motorola digital repeater has two TDMA voice slots. One channel is
used for talking to the other Internet connected repeaters. The second
channel is used for local QSOs. Both voice channels can naturally be
used at the same time without affecting the other channel. I'm told
D-Star doesn't this ability.

My Mototrbo mobile and HT both have built-in GPS and text messaging. I
am trying to find someone that can remove the GPS data from my
transmissions and adapt it to APRS. The GPS information is sent with
the voice packets where another mobile connected to a computer can
display my position. I'm more of a RF ham than software.
