[CRAPRS] Digi on a tower

I would recommend commercial antennas. I am using a Decibel Products DB264 on K0HAM-10 and a Decibel Products DB222 on
K0HAM-9. If you get the A version (150-160MHz) they work just fine on two meters as they are fairly broad banded. I
would have preferred a 4 dipole antenna on K0HAM-9 but the two dipole one was donated so I used it. Tower side mount
kits are available for them.

I think you said something about putting up an Igate. If you want to put it at the tower site you may want to look into
using a Linksys WRT54G router. There has been discussion on the TAPR APRSSIG about how to use this device as an
un-attended Igate.

Most commercial tower operators are more comfortable with us using commercial radios at their sites. I use the GE
Phoenix on all my sites except for W0CXX-5.
