I've seen a trend in postings here on CRAPRS that I want to bring to
everyone's attention. If you are trying to post from an account that
is not in the registered list, your posting is held until an administrator
(me) can get to it and approve it. The notice I get is: "Attempt to post
from an unregistered address." I eventually get to this request, and
permit the postings from anybody.

This occurs because you have registered an address where you want the emails
to go, but are attempting to post from somewhere else. I understand the
convenience of having all your email forwarded to other accounts; I do that
also. But when it comes time to post, the system will not permit that without
manual action on my part.

Here is a fix: I will use my account as an example.

I have registered two address; nq0v at arrl.net and gary.bishop at mchsi.com.
I have my mchsi.com account selected to NOT receive mail on the CRAPRS
preferences page, so I don't get
duplicates (or triplicates) of postings. Because it's still registered,
I can post to the list all I want from my mchsi.com account. It is not
even possible to post from arrl.net, they have no outgoing service.

Please consider registering the account from which you wish to post. If
you have an alternate account for receiving email, then set the account
from which you want to post as "diabled" so you don't receive duplicates.

This selection is the first choice in the shaded boxes, toward the bottom of
the screen, after you login at: http://rf.org/mailman/options/craprs

Thanks. Worthy CRAPRS Administrator
